Your clinic and treatments are only as safe and effective as the processing labs you use. The field of regenerative therapy has been evolving and growing at a rapid pace, thanks in large part to stem cell therapy.
When your patients ask you about approved treatments, it’s important to be able to tell them that their stem cells have been processed and stored according to all safety regulations that are in place – and by a reputable laboratory that strictly follows FDA standards.
Trustworthy Stem-Cell Laboratory
Your patients rely on properly harvested, processed, and stored autologous stem cells that will be used during the course of your patients’ regenerative therapy. As a reputable clinic, you offer only FDA-approved treatments, and you counsel your patients about the possible side effects of stem cell therapy. You also explain exactly what techniques are used to extract and reintroduce stem cells into the treatment site.
Many patients are just as concerned about how their harvested cells are handled as how the clinical procedures are performed during extraction and injection of their cells. In the clinical setting, you can be transparent about all procedures and processes; but sending away harvested cells to a laboratory can make patients feel vulnerable.
The patient has no control over the process, likely does not understand the details of the process, and must trust that the cells are handled safely by all involved. And, that the final product is safe to use in their therapy treatments.
What We Do at Systemic Laboratories
You can trust our lab technicians and equipment to process your clinic’s cells carefully and properly.
- We process adult, autologous tissue in a controlled and compliant environment. Our process enables the extraction of stromal vascular fraction (SVF) from adipose cells (fatty tissue) or bone marrow. This includes mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs).
- We offer physicians detailed reports on gross cell counts, nucleated cells, SVF counts, and other metrics on a per-mL basis.
- We offer tissue processing within 24 hours.
- We also offer long-term storage of stem cells for future retrieval, processing, in a cryo-freezer at minus-80 degrees Celsius for future retrieval.
What we don’t do:
- We do not use enzymes.
- We do not manipulate, expand, or multiply tissue and cells.
Ethics in a Laboratory
MSCs are powerful tools in helping people become healthier. Researchers are learning more and more every day about MSCs’ ability to specialize in certain types of tissue and certain types of functionality.
This potency and flexibility are important to keep in mind and to keep under control, in the laboratory setting. MSCs respond to manipulation in the lab very readily, and potentially in ways that are not desirable.
This can include problems such as:
· Cells acting unpredictably once reintroduced into the body
· Cells forming tumors
· Tissue of the wrong type
· Tissue in the wrong place
· Tissue causing problems with the immune system
We never manipulate the samples we receive for processing, and we do not multiply or prompt the sample cells to multiply in any way.
Always Use a Trusted FDA-Registered Laboratory
The best way to put patients at ease is to use an FDA-registered and -monitored lab like Systemic Laboratories. That way, you can feel assured of the safety and efficacy of all products.
And you can make your patients feel safe, too.
